Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) Immersion Program
The Quinnipiac University Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) Immersion program is designed to increase the number of underrepresented students scoring competitively on the exam. Students interested in participating in the program must apply for acceptance. This is a residential program; all selected participants must agree to live on campus for the duration of the program.
Applicants must be college juniors or seniors or postgraduates who have completed all prerequisite science courses required to apply for acceptance to medical school. Applicants should have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Each student must have their own laptop computer.

Letter of recommendation
We also require one letter of recommendation from a science professor. Non-traditional applicants may submit a letter from an employer. Please have your recommender email their letter as a PDF document to OEIDmed@qu.edu. They should include your name in the subject line of the email.

Who is eligible?

What is the start date of the program?
The program begins on May 24, 2025. Program participants will spend 6 weeks on campus.
How long will the program run?
The program runs for six weeks from May 24 - July 3, 2025.
Is there an application process?
Yes; applicants will submit an electronic application that will require all transcripts from current and prior institutions as well as an essay and a letter of recommendation from a science faculty member or employer for those who are not currently enrolled. All completed applications will be reviewed by the faculty committee.
When is the application due?
All applications and supplemental materials must be received by April 1, 2025.
Are there any additional costs?
All associated program fees are covered with financial support along with some travel reimbursement.
What support materials will be provided?
All MCAT testing materials will be provided but students must provide their own laptop computer.
Will housing be provided?
Yes, housing will be provided.
